Nutritional Therapy in Essex, Suffolk & Online (Based in Colchester)

My career has been varied. I originally undertook a journalism course as I loved to write (and still do). I progressed to working with people struggling to overcome difficult experiences and behaviours (offending, mental health and addictions), latterly commissioning services for the same groups and working in the field of Public Health.

For a long time, I had wanted to work for myself and following some research, retraining to be a Nutritional Therapist seemed the obvious choice. It allowed me to combine my love of problem solving, passion for food and interest in health with my research skills and a wish to help people to change their lives for the better, sometimes quite dramatically. During and since training, I have been able to significantly improve my own health and that of friends and family members, which has been a fantastic bonus alongside a new and exciting career.

In my spare time, I love to travel and enjoy walking (particularly coastal paths). I also adore camping, live music and ballroom and latin dancing (not necessarily at the same time!).

About Me

I firmly believe that life should be grasped with both hands and that we should all maximise our opportunities for growth and fun – which of course can all be achieved more easily with personal good health and vitality!

I have had a keen interest in health for as long as I can remember and despite some irritating health issues, was never happy about taking medications1. At the age of 30, I suddenly broke out in, what became persistant acne and was anxious to find a more natural solution. Following extensive research and some natural supplementation, I was able to significantly reduce the problem.

1Although of course you should never alter or stop prescribed medications without discussion with your GP first – to do so may endanger your health.
